Non ricordo affatto quella data, ma ricordo perfettamente appena ragazzino, seduto su una sedia accanto al tavolo in cucina, rivolto verso la tv, unica tv a colori che avevamo allora in casa. Seduto ad attendere la visione di questo programma scientifico dal nome affascinante! Da lì in poi, puntata dopo puntata ho sempre seguito tutti i programmi di Piero Angela, registrando il più possibile le trasmissioni in maniera quasi maniacale: ma era il mio amore per la cultura scientifica, innato in me, di cui non ne ero ancora cosciente. Ringrazio, come tanti italiani, il Maestro Piero Angela per aver speso con dedizione la sua vita nella divulgazione scientifica in Italia. Riporto le parole del Maestro, dedicate ai giovani, in una sua recente intervista: "Il nuovo secolo che stiamo vivendo è vostro. Nel 2050, che sembra così lontano, voi sarete dei 40/50enni. Sarà un secolo pieno di cambiamenti e mi spiace di non poter vedere tutto quello che succederà: grandi problemi, ma anche innovazioni e opportunità. The Building Blocks of The Universe - Quarks & Supersymmetry Explained by Brian Greene


One of the most famous theoretical physicist, mathematician, and string theorist Brian Greene explains in great detail the building blocks of the Universe. Quarks came into existence since the very first instants of the universe – less than 1 terasecond after the big bang. Brian Greene also explains the hard concept of Supersymmetry. Which predicts that each of the particles in the Standard Model has a partner with a spin that differs by half of a unit. So bosons are accompanied by fermions and vice versa. Brian Greene also mentions how the strong nuclear force gets weaker when quarks are near each other while the opposite is true. Quarks come up in six different varieties which are: Up, Down, Top, Bottom, Strange, and Charm. All commonly observable matter in the unvierse is composed of up quarks, down quarks and electrons. Quarks have various intrinsic properties, including electric charge, mass, color charge, and spin. They are the only elementary particles in the Standard Model of particle physics to experience all four fundamental interactions. Since the earliest days of humanity, we have been obsessed with figuring out how things work. And we've come a long way and understand quite a bit of our world. In order to save his crew, Quark must destroy the obelisk and free the shape-shifting "Clay People" it enslaved. What are Quarks? ( Quark Color | Flavor | Quark Confinement)


In my previous video on Eightfold Way 🤍 I talked about how Hadrons can be classified on the basis of same spin but differing strangeness and charge. This Eightfold Way lead to the development of the Quark Model, in which all such hadron particles can be created by some fundamental entities called Quarks arranged in different manner. In this video I talk about these Quarks, the fundamental constituents of most ordinary matter. Apart from Quarks, I also discuss the idea behind the property of Quark COLOR, and Quark color hypothesis. I show examples of how different colors come together to create colorless hadron particles. i also talk about Quark Flavor, i.e. how the flavor property of quarks manifest in six different ways - up, down, strange, charm, top, bottom. The standard model: what's the evidence for the quark?


The evidence for the standard model comes from deep inelastic collisions studies at SLAC and at other particle accelerators and confirm the reality of the quark and boson that make up protons, neutrons and other hadrons. This video reviews the initial problems with the standard model as devised by Murray Gell-Mann and the validation of the model through particle accelerator studies in the 70's and 80's. Quark kortfilm (1987) Dansk tale.


I 1987 red man på en bølge af succes på baggrund af filmen Valhalla af Peter Madsen, som blev meget populær, derfor valgte man at få lavet 14 kortfilm til tysk tv, om og med Quark, hvor man følger ham fra starten, altså som baby, det blev dog aldrig rigtig en succes, da øllet nok virkede lidt for tyndt, altså det virkede meget søgt og havde ikke den store dybde, derfor blev der kun lavet 6 kortfilm og det er dem jeg deler med jer her. Et lille fact: Vidste i at det er John Cleese som er fortæller stemmen i den engelske udgave af Valhalla/Quark.
